Sunshine
through the years
With a big thanks to Joe in Dublin, here are four of Sunshines
Jingles through the years.
|
This is when Sunshine was on 91.6FM in '82. Thanks to Joe in Dublin! Joe, I'll be honest, I NEVER KNEW they were ever on 91.6. Nice jingles too! |
|
This is right at the beginning of Sunshine before they went on FM. Thiese are my FAVOURITE jingle from Sunshine ever! Thanks to Joe in Dublin! |
|
This is a fascinating array of Sunshine namechecks,, when the likes of Mike Hogan worked therre. Take a listen! Thanks to Joe in Dublin! |
|
These Jingles came after NOVA came on the scene. These are truely classic cuts. Thanks to Joe in Dublin! |
|
This is simply a reasonable quality version of the famous Sunshine Jingle. Enjoy! |
|
"It's not Radio Sunshine, it's Sunshine radio "
The last day of the sunshine closedown and a nice quality jingle in here. Also a DJ interviewing Tony Dixon. The DJ is called Mark (but Mark who?). A ramble followed by a Tony Allan camp promo for Sunshine sweatshirts. Gotta love this stuff. It's gold! |
|
"5 and three quarter minutes after three oclock...Tony King
with you standing in for Declan Meehan"
Tony King does the DJ stuff. Nice little
Sunshine jingle in here. |
|
"the gig guide..Baggot Inn it's Momma's Boys..."
Tom finds something more to say. The gig
guide is read out for a tuesday evening. A fantasy for Tom Hardy is
Judy Tzuke. Know what year this was? |
|
"especially for all the Rastafarians listening into us in
Coolock ."
Promotion for Malahide Musical and Dramatic
society. Sunshine Radio made a big effort to be a community station,
something not so high on the priority list of its bigger competitor
Radio Nova! |
Sunshine
closes down legally.
